La aproape 600 zboruri pe "comerciale", cate ai la activ, chiar ai ce ne povesti. Plus ca multe sunt exotice.

Cat despre AirAsia, dupa cele 3 zboruri cu ei, numai cuvinte de lauda din partea mea. Desi, nu pot trage o concluzie dupa doar 3 zboruri. Sper sa am timp, sa povestesc experienta mea cu AA. Doar ca nu stiu cand....
Avand in vedere ca si tu si Mangelaus aveti pareri foarte bune, inseamna ca totusi ceva bun se petrece cu/in aceasta companie.

Vezi ca in blog mi-am bagat link spre openflight.com. Am incercat si aici sa-l inserez, dar nu stiu de ce nu-mi merge semnatura In fine, ma lamuresc eu.. O sa vezi acolo ca nici eu n-am zburat de prea multe ori - cu AK, de vreo 5 ori, dar de fiecare data a fost ok si imi place brandul si faptul ca acum are atatea zboruri in Asia.

She did not state the quantum of growth in the first quarter but said load factors averaged 75 percent in 2009.

Ancillary income, such as excess baggage handling, onboard food and beverage services, grew 46 percent last year and the segment will continue to see "good growth" this year, she said.

AirAsia, Airbus's biggest customer for the A320-200, will take delivery of 16 aircraft this year to replace its older Boeing 737s in Thailand and Indonesia, said the executive.

It will take delivery of another 89 new aircraft from 2011 to 2015, she said.

Last year, AirAsia pushed back the delivery schedule for some of its orders with Airbus after the airline industry was hit hard by the global financial crisis.

Aireen does not expect further rescheduling for now.

"Overcapacity is not a concern as we are seeing growth in our load factors. We don't see any adjustment required in the foreseeable future," she said.

"AirAsia X is eyeing a public listing in the second half of 2011, subject to market conditions," says AirAsia, which is primarily a short-haul low-cost carrier, whereas AirAsia serves longer routes with Airbus A330s.

It says "AirAsia X is currently completing a 100 million ringgit ($30 million) rights issue exercise to achieve financial independence and fund its continued growth."

"AirAsia X is growing its aircraft fleet by 37.5% to 11 aircraft and expanding its route network in Asia, including India, Korea and Japan, by year-end," it adds.

It says the longer haul operation launched in November 2007 and is now reaching sufficient economies of scale to stand on its own rather than relying on services provided by AirAsia.

"AirAsia X achieved audited revenues of 720 million ringgit in 2009 and is projected to exceed billion ringgit in revenue in 2010."

"It booked a net profit of 87 million ringgit in 2009," it adds.

AirAsia X will continue to use the AirAsia brand and AirAsia's booking engine but "AirAsia X will take over employment of its own wide-body pilots, cabin crew and ground staff as well as its commercial and marketing team."

Investors will benefit because it means shareholders can invest in the long-haul low-cost business model without that investment being lumped in with a short-haul low-cost airline and vice versa, says AirAsia.

The group also says it plans to list in future some of its overseas airlines. AirAsia of Malaysia has large minority stakes in Thai AirAsia, Indonesia AirAsia and Vietnam's VietJet.

"The airline is moving away from consolidating all businesses into a single investment entity towards having separate public-listed entities that give investors clear choices to invest based on geographic and business model."

"Investors may choose to invest in the countries where AirAsia is based - currently including Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia - and in the short-haul or long-haul business model."

Azran Osman-Rani, the CEO of AirAsia's long-haul carrier Asia X, made the announcement on the sidelines of the Australia Pacific Aviation Outlook Summit in Sydney.

AirAsia's launch of an Australian base would depend on one of the existing mass-market carriers moving up-market and the remaining carriers rationalising capacity and increasing fares, Azran says.

"The way it is now, if you've got three players competing aggressively for the mass market segment that's all the industry can take," Azran says.

Although he does not explicitly name Virgin Blue, the latter has made clear its intention to increase its corporate market share and continue to move away from its low-cost roots.

Virgin Blue moving up-market would leave Tiger Airways and the Qantas Group's Jetstar Airways as the only domestic carriers targeting Australia's mass market. Under Azran's reckoning, Virgin Blue leaving the market would create room for AirAsia.

"If the market dynamic changed and suddenly there is space and existing players start to rationalise fights and increase fares, it will be very tempting," he says of AirAsia launching a domestic Australian operation.

An AirAsia operation in Australian would easily have a lower cost base than Tiger and could offer cheaper fares consistently, says Azran.

He adds the carrier would use Airbus A320s and would be majority foreign-owned. The Australian market is unique for permitting majority foreign-owned carriers to operate domestically.

Australia is also attractive to AirAsia for its transparent regulations, says Azran.

"It's a lot easier to operate here than it is trying to get into markets like Vietnam," he says. AirAsia has partnered with Vietnam's VietJet to create a low-cost carrier in Vietnam. But Vietnamese regulators have objected to the carrier using AirAsia's name. Vietnamese regulators also took issue with Jetstar group's Jetstar Pacific carrier using Jetstar branding. Earlier this month Vietnam released two Jetstar Pacific executives who since December had been barred from leaving the country while regulators investigated the carrier's fuel-hedging losses.

AirAsia has subsidiaries in Indonesia and Thailand in addition to its partnership in Vietnam.

Sunt preturi bune daca locuiesti in Paris .
Daca vrei sa faci o combinatie low-cost, o sa observi ca iesi cam scump pentru deranjul creat.
350 costa in cazul cel mai bun (promo) un zbor dus-intors "de baza", daca adaugi bagaje, taxa card, mancare (nu poti sa stai 13h fara mancare) iesi pe la 400 lejer. La asta se mai adauga cateva zeci de euro si cateva ore pt. transferul de la Beauvais la Orly si faptul ca jumatate din zborurile catre KL pleaca la 10 dimineata si jumatate din cele retur ajung la 5 dupa-amiaza, deci sansa sa fii nevoit sa stai o noapte in Paris e maricica. Plus riscul aferent intarzierii unui avion, ceea ce-ti poate da peste cap toate planurile.

Stiu ca sunt multe care intra la calculul fina, si totusi e o oferta ok

Increased competition from low-cost airlines, weak demand and high fuel prices have combined to squeeze many carriers in recent years.

The low-margin industry has gone through a period of rapid consolidation and analysts believe larger carriers such as Virgin Atlantic need partners to stay ahead of the competition.

Poate ar avea sanse mai multe pe un forum generalist, gen softpedia, unde audienta formata din useri gen ioana23 si vasilica89 ar avea sanse sa faca "hap".

Mai realistic vorbind, urmatoarea destinatie Air Asia X in Europa este Nisa (sursa)

Nisa a fost prima destinatie vizata de AirAsiaX in Franta, inaintea Parisului, inca de prin 2009 fiind discutii referitoare la faptul asta.
Ce spune blogul ala are cam acelasi grad de incredere cu cel romanesc citat anterior, poate sursa o fi fost tot o duduie care a iesit la un cico cu Tony Fernandez pe acelasi zbor in care a zburat si Claudia. Citesc blogul Air Asia de ceva timp (dinainte sa zbor prima oara cu ei in 2009 cu ei STN-KUL) si n-am vazut nici o referinta recenta la zborul asta. Am cautat si cu google si am gasit referinte de prin 2009. Pe blogul respectiv nu se indica nici o sursa pentru vorbele atribuite lui T.F. Ati gasit voi ceva in acest sens? Ca altfel nu vad ce-i realistic in destinatia aia.

Se pare ca frantujii stiu ceva ce nu mai stie nimeni . Macar sa fie asa, desi mie, ca profan, mi s-ar parea ciudat ca AirAsiaX sa deschida o noua ruta tot spre Franta, in contextul in care momentan spre Paris se opereaza 4/7. Plus ca nu prea vad motive ca asiaticii sa vina special pt riviera franceza, au plaje ceva mai frumoase pe la ei .

Se pare ca vor sa ajunga la 7/7 la Paris Orly, iar la Nisa nu vin neaparat pentru plaje ci pentru tot ce poate oferi Coasta de Azur, de la Monaco/Montecarlo, trecand prin Marsilia, Cannes si Saint Tropez. + de asta poti sa ajungi usor in N Italiei din Nisa.
