Olympic Air (OA / NOA)

De vreo 3 luni de zile site-ul de la Olympic Airlines este inchis pentru mentenanta. Stie careva alta posibilitate de a rezerva bilete online pentru zborurile lor (ma intereseaza un zbor intern in Grecia) sau trebuie apelat exclusiv la o agentie de turism?

Olympic Airlines nu mai exista.
In locul ei a aparut OlympicAir care a mentinut numai rutele profitabile, printre care si bucuresti si opereaza acum o flota noua d Airbus-uri A319 si A320 precum si Dash-uri Q400.
Aceeasi marie cu alta palarie

si cu cu airbusu a340 si boeingurile leau vandut???

Intr-adevar, Olympic Air nu mai opereaza A340 si nici B737.

Au ramas cu vreo 17 Airbusuri, 14 Dash-uri si 2 ATR42, din care ultimele doua tipuri sunt majoritar lease sau wet-lease. Olympic Air a ramas practic o companie regionala.

A340-urile apartineau direct statului elen (mai exact Ministerului Finantelor si a Economiei Nationale) deci nu cred ca au intrat in privatizare.

Cat despre Boeinguri, oricum incercau sa scape de ele : dadusera in lease diverselor companii si cred ca mai sunt cateva prin Olanda...

Probabil ca politica lor se axeaza pe zborurile catre insule, ceea ce ar explica de ce au renuntat la A-340!

Zburat dus-intors pe relatia OTP - ATH, ramas profund impresionat de curatenie, personal si mancare.

Daca ai ramas asa profund impresionat de personal nu ai pus un pic de zoom pe tanti care sta in cadrul usii ?

Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines notified the Commission formally of their merger plan on 24 June.

While the competition situation on Greek routes is under scrutiny, the Commission says it also has "serious doubts" that the tie-up meets requirements regarding provision of public service obligation routes and ground-handling at Greek airports.

With regard to the PSO routes the merger would "bring together the two strongest and most credible bidders", it states. The inquiry is set to conclude by 7 December by which time the Commission will decide whether the merger poses a threat to competition.

"The merger between Aegean and Olympic would have led to a quasi-monopoly in Greece and thus to higher prices and lower quality of service for Greeks and tourists travelling between Athens and the (Greek) islands," EU Competition Commissioner Joaquin Almunia said.

Aviation and shipping services are crucial for Greeks and tourists because of the country's more than 1,400 islands. Tourism receipts, a key money earner for recession-hit Greece, fell last year as anti-austerity protests discouraged visitors.

The firms offered to cede take-off and landing slots in Greece, but the Commission said this was not enough, as Greek airports do not suffer from the levels of congestion affecting others in Europe.

The carriers rejected suggestions they should give up part of their fleet or one of their two brand names to new entrants, Almunia told a news briefing.

Aegean said the brand name proposal was unacceptable.

"We did not accept conceding one of the two brands or part of the fleet as a remedy, this does not have a precedent in the history of airline mergers," Aegean's vice-chairman Eftyhios Vassilakis said.

"The brand names have a huge value, we built ours with hard work during the last 12 years (Aegean) and so did Olympic in the last 50 years."

Olympic owner Marfin Investment Group criticised the Commission's decision.

"The Commission's decision will have negative consequences for consumers as well as our country's economy while it will benefit foreign competitors," Marfin chairman Andreas Vgenopoulos said in a statement.

De fapt in urma cu vreun an, cand OA era in probleme serioase, au luat-o practic de la capat, mergand pe faliment cu vechea companie si aparand una noua. Una dintre actiunile de atunci a fost si schimbarea flotei, si asa au aparut in flota noile Airbus-uri in locul vechilor Boeing-uri. Ca atare cred ca acelea nici nu se vor mai intoarce la ei, si in cel mai bun caz vor fi date in lease in alta parte.

Dupa cate vad Olympic Air nu are 737 in flota. Doar Airbus A319, A320, Dash 8 Q400, 8-100 si ATR-42 -conform Wikipedia. Conform Airfleets nu au ATR.

Pai cele cateva 737 Olympic completeaza "cimitirul" de la Baneasa de luni bune. Zac abandonate alaturi de MD-urile chinezesti, de altfel ca si 707-le si MD-ul Alaska din spatele benzinariei.

Poate este vb de cele mentionate de arianne. Poate le cumpara cineva.

Cand au venit la mentenanta aveau logoul companiei.In momentul de fata nu stiu daca le are vro companiei in proprietate ,posibil sa le fi dat ,posibil sa fie tot ale lor nu stiu nu vreau sa vorbesc aiurea.De zacut nu zac chiar asa de rau,dar se trage de timp pe cat se poate de mult.E ceva in genu : unu munceste o ora altu o ora altu o ora ca nu zica cei de sus ca nu fac nimika .
Eu zic ca mai au mult pana sa ajunga sa fie ca MD.Se baga o gramada de banuti in tipul asta de mentenant, in plus sunt niste avioane destul de noi peste 1995.Un potential cumparator ori vro peotentiala firma in regim leased` ,cred ca se poate gasi.
O sa incerc sa aflu exact in ce stagiu` este firma si ce se vor intampla cu acele Boeing (sunt 100% boeing ).

Cele 3 avioane sunt inca in Romaero!

Unul este aproape gata ,este vopsit alb dar ii mai trebuiesc motoarele,restu `mai au de stat !

Asa cum indicam si in thread-ul Aegean, ca urmare a integrarii intre Aegean si Olympic, incepand cu 01.02.2014 Aegean preia operarea rutei Olympic intre Atena si Bucuresti. Este deci posibil ca incepand de atunci sa nu mai vina aeronave Olympic pe OTP. Asa ca spor la prins in fotografii.

As of 18DEC13, Aegean Airlines accelerates planned network realignment with Olympic Air. Following routes will be now be transferred from Olympic Air to Aegean Airlines, starting 01FEB14, instead of 30MAR14.
Operational aircraft, by Olympic Air Dash8-Q400, remains unchanged. Following listed frequencies is valid for Summer 2014 season, from 30MAR14:
Athens – Chios 3 daily
Athens – Ioannina 12 weekly
Athens – Kefallinia 1 daily (2 daily from 21JUN14 to 01SEP14)
Athens – Limnos 10 weekly (2 daily from 22JUN14 to 11SEP14)
Athens – Samos 3 daily (4 daily from 20JUN14 to 09SEP14)
Athens – Sofia 8 weekly
Athens – Tirana 12 weekly
Following Olympic Air routes will also be transferred to Aegean Airlines from 01FEB14 (previously not reported):
Athens – Alexandroupolis
Athens – Belgrade
Athens – Bucharest
Athens – Corfu
Athens – Istanbul
Athens – Kavala
Athens – Kos
Athens – Mykonos
