Hey steve, unfotunately google maps doesn't have a clear view of pucioasa, but here is the contact page from their website. if you call them i am sure they'll give you instructions, or, if you plan a visit you can put the address into the GPS.

Thanks, I've sent them a message. The directions I have say, quote:-

"From a hotel at the northern end of the main road (I assume Route 71) through the town centre go up the hill and after a few hundred metres the museum is on the left side of the road, a bit hidden from view."

but not sure from that if it is on the east or west side of Route 71.

well i got it Click here for the location. that's where it should be according to the maps of the city.

also click on the thumbnail for a touristic map of the city. i wrote in blue the way to Bucharest, and marked with a red X and in red and green the exact location. the dark orange is the national road which comes from Bucharest and from now on i guess we have shed light on the exact location

And the MiG looks quite nice! all it needs is a jack under the tail and off it goes

We tried to get the nose down, but the tail was frozen to the ground!

Nice shots Steve! Love to see the Zlin in good shape, and the Anotov as well... too bad for the IAR 818... hope to visit the museum this year myself to see them live.
