Baneasa-Bologna-Baneasa with BLUE AIR

Hello Friends!
This is my first post in this forum. As everyone here I’m also interested in aviation and this report is from my first flight ever.
I’ve got a great chance to fly with my favourite aircraft – 737 Classic.

One of the best mornings in my life! Before first flight


























My seat was 14А. I was thinking to got something like 3A or 4A … but I couldn’t do it





Wind Chart and LRBS SID (our SID was NILOV 3B but we didn't follow our standart instrument departure procedure as
published - NILOV3B. After passing BSE NDB we were cleard direct to NILOV.



Here I tried unsuccessful to take a picture of my dream office






07:55 Start up. 08:00 we started taxing to rwy 07.

When I checked actual ТAF for Bologna I saw that we were expecting 20kts wind and rain

Course 038 set, Auto throttle off, speed selected 110kts - maybe later changed with about V2+15kts, heading 115, first level 5000 feet

I really enjoyed flying with Blue transport! They are really great and I’m impressed from their crews and
can’t wait for my next flight with Blue air ( 10th April 2010 -London/ Stansted-Bucharest/ Baneasa)

Very nice first trip report. Welcome to Romainan Spotters. You've certainly captured some pretty interesting angles of the 737. Too bad you didn't have time to take a proper picture of the cockpit. The images from Italy were also very nice. Thanks for your effort and I'm looking forward for more posts from you.

By the way, how did you get from Bulgaria to Bucharest? Did you drive?

From my home town Silistra to Bucharest are 135 km. We were with car but I didn’t drive

About the SID's. they are usually not used in Bucharest. Not even on OTP. They cleare to the first waypoint (like NILOV for the most western departures). As for BBU departures, if there is traffic on OTP the later has priority and ATC will keep the departing traffic from Baneasa on rwy hading untill safe to turn 2 NILOV.

Departures will give radar vectors for BBU traffic depending on the type of a/c and exit point of the planes that took-off from otp.
A 737 from bbu will overtake in climb and speed preformace the atr from otp so the last one will get vectored more .

Most departures from BBU to Italy or Spain are through Polun point not Nilov

Do you think there are many Bulgarians from the northern part of the country traveling to BUH in order to fly from here?

Yes we were with car but driver (my friend) take us to Baneasa and after that he returned to Silistra.
Yes there are many Bulgarians from north Bulgaria which use Bucharest airports. (Often WIZZ/ Blue air)
