Cu putin noroc voi fi acolo. Se mai inscrie cineva?

Am luat deja biletele de avion, intr-una din zile voi fi acolo.

Biletele la eveniment au fost deja puse in vanzare. Cumparate online costa 25 lire de persoana si sunt valabile in ambele zile (nu mi-e clar daca poti veni in ambele sau in oricare). La fata locului, acestea vor costa 30 de lire. Aditional se poate achizitiona bilet in tribuna (grandstand) care costa 12 lire de persoana, acesta fiind valabil numai in ziua pentru care a fost achizitionat. Acestea insa sunt in numar limitat.

Eu le-am comandat deja, cu grandstand cu tot si cu S&H au costat 77.65 GBP pentru 2 persoane.

Before most show attendees had even had breakfast, government-controlled British bank Royal Bank of Scotland acknowledged being the mystery buyer of nearly USD$8 billion in new passenger jets.

Leasing subsidiary RBS Aviation Capital put its name to orders for 52 Airbus A320 family planes and 43 Boeing 737 family aircraft, all of which had been previously listed on the planemakers' books as sales to unnamed buyers.

"We always buy when we think there is demand and sell when we see no demand from investors," Peter Barrett, the chief executive of RBS Aviation Capital, said in an interview.

"It reflects the underlying long-term trend that there is demand for leased airplanes, particularly for the narrow-body workhorses of the industry (the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737)."

Add to that orders from the likes of Garuda, Thai Air, Qantas and Qatar Airways and manufacturers were ready to improve their forecasts for 2010 orders.

"We've raised our orders forecast twice. We might do it a third time," Boeing commercial boss Jim Albaugh said in an interview at the show.

Airbus sales chief John Leahy said on Tuesday that Airbus would surpass its own forecast for up to 300 orders this year as well, possibly hitting 400.

"The civil side has had a good week but the worry remains that the mature markets of Europe and North America are not the ones that have been committing to new aircraft," said Howard Wheeldon, senior strategist at BGC Partners.

American Airlines ordered 35 Boeing 737 narrow-bodies but the bulk of new demand remains in emerging markets and industry bosses said it was too early to talk of a broad-based recovery.

The volume of plane orders at Farnborough is a "very good sign," said the chief executive of aircraft components maker Rockwell Collins, but he said he remained concerned about the strength of the global economy.

"Activity is clearly better than expected and leasing companies were the surprise," said analyst Yan Derocles of Oddo Securities in Paris. A dearth of orders for Canadian planemaker Bombardier's new C-Series was disappointing, however.

The show coincided with mixed results from US carriers amid a sputtering US economy and costly fuel.

Russian planemaker Superjet unveiled a USD$900 million, 30 plane order on Wednesday, capping a bumper Farnborough Airshow that has seen belated overseas interest in its passenger plane.

The much delayed Superjet 100 will be the first passenger plane built by Russia since the fall of the Soviet Union, and will attempt to challenge market leaders Airbus and Boeing in the regional carrier sector.

The manufacturer, controlled by Russia's state-controlled Sukhoi and 25 percent owned by Italy's Finmeccanica, has reported 60 firm orders during the first three days of the event -- taking the programme's total to 161.

The latest was a USD$900 million deal with Bermuda-based lessor Pearl, with delivery of the 30 planes due next year. It followed a similar USD$951 million, 30 plane order on Monday by Indonesian airline Kartika.

Commercial plane orders have dominated this year's Farnborough Airshow as the industry emerges from a two year market lull caused by the global economic slowdown.

ENHANCES OUR POSITION

The mid-sized Superjet 100 made its maiden flight in May 2008, but a series of project delays mean first deliveries will not be made until the end of this year. Sukhoi chief executive Mikhail Pogosyan reiterated the target earlier in the airshow.

Its early orders were predictably dominated by Russian state airline Aeroflot. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin publicly urged Aeroflot chief executive Vitaly Savelyev to buy more locally made planes earlier this month.

Aeroflot had ordered 30 of the 100 planes announced before the airshow. Hungary's Malev has also ordered 30, but the multi-national make-up of the Farnborough buyers takes the firm out of Eastern Europe.

"This agreement with an international leasing company (Pearl) is proof of the quality of this aircraft and further enhances our position in the market," Superjet CEO Alessandro Franzoni said of the latest deal.

A further 49 Superjet 100s have also been ordered during the airshow, including a possible 24 to Thailand's Orient Thai Airlines, although these are either optional deals or at the memorandum of understanding (MOU) stage.

In a separate deal, Gazpromavia -- the airline owned by Russian state gas monopoly Gazprom -- said it had signed a letter of intent to buy 10 Superjet 100s, although it did not give a value.

And Russia's OAK also said its Irkut subsidiary had signed a deal to sell 50 MC-21 passenger planes to Malaysian firm Crecom.

Sukhoi clocked over 100 Superjet commitments, while Russia's new mainline jet, the MS-21, racked up 130 sales and Antonov sold 20 An-158 regional jets.

IMPRESIONANT! Odata intreba ettyus de ce toate pozele cu A380 ajung in top pe toate site-urile. Pai uite de ce. Este un crowd-"wower", ca sa zic asa.






De ce aparem intotdeauna noi doar in poze? Pe cand si Spartan-ul nostru la un Bourget, ILA, ceva? Sau un MiG, un An-26 - ar face furori...nu ca n-am avea cu ce.

Frumos show, ai prins si C-FMJO (Viking Twin Otter Series 400) - primul din noua serie de productie. Modelul asta nu a mai fost fabricat din 1988 dar poti vedea niste "tinerei" din aceeasi familie la Westcoast Air care are una dintre baze la Vancouver Harbour Water Airport (de unde relatez din cand in cand...).

Foarte misto pozele Arianne. Din pacate am auzit ca anul acesta a fost mai slabut putin show-ul decat in anii precedenti. Ma bucur sa vad ca Twin Otter 400 s-a renascut. Ai facut traba buna. Felicitari. Printre avioanele remarcabile acolo... Catalina, Pilatus PC-21, Lancaster si ala de la Royal Navy... foarte interesant.. cum a zice? )
